Mark Mwenje: Let Kioni disclose whose interests he represents


Embakasi West Member of Parliament Mark Mwenje has urged Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni to clarify who instructed him to criticize opposition leaders.

  Speaking to the media on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Mwenje stated that Kioni's attacks on the character of Democracy for Citizens’ Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua suggest he is acting on behalf of unidentified entities. He further remarked that former President Uhuru Kenyatta cannot be the source of Kioni’s comments, as the Jubilee Party leader has not sanctioned any assaults on opposition figures. In a separate statement, Nakuru DCP’s Secretary General Sangale criticized Kioni for his comments regarding Gachagua.
