China Initiates Construction of Sh5 Billion Nairobi Commerce Centre

 


President William Ruto has officially inaugurated the foundation stone for the China-Kenya International Commerce Centre, a mixed-use development initiative located at the Jamhuri Showground in Nairobi.

  This Sh5 billion investment covers over 68,000 square metres and will feature a five-star hotel along with various modern amenities, directly generating 3,000 job opportunities for Kenyans. "This occasion signifies the commencement of the commercial revitalization of our Agricultural Society of Kenya facilities, transforming underutilized government properties into catalysts for growth," he stated on Wednesday. The project is spearheaded by China Plaza Group Co. Ltd, in alignment with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
