Gachagua identifies Ukambani MP being utilized by Ruto to weaken Kalonzo


Democracy for Citizens Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has pointed out a prominent Ukambani MP, whom he alleges is being exploited by President William Ruto to weaken Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

  During a speech in Mwala on Monday, October 6, 2025, Gachagua remarked that local MP Vincent Musyoka, commonly referred to as Kawaya, is being manipulated to undermine Kalonzo in the area. The former Deputy President urged his constituents to take measures against him by voting him out and replacing him with a supporter. Previously, the second deputy president had called on Ukambani to form an alliance with Central Kenya to remove Ruto in 2027. "One thing you have not done correctly here is electing someone who is not loyal to Kalonzo. The MP you currently have is the one being used by Ruto to weaken Kalonzo. You must provide Kalonzo with representatives from Wiper who are loyal to him. You should not lack individuals to fulfill that role," he asserted. The DCP leader further emphasized the need for the region to elect MPs who are loyal to Wiper, highlighting the significance of having devoted supporters surrounding Kalonzo.
