'He Failed To Advise Himself': Sudi Criticizes Gachagua Over Mentorship Assertion

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, questioning his ability to mentor other leaders following what he described as a series of personal political errors.

Sudi, a close associate of President William Ruto, rejected Gachagua's comments on Saturday regarding his mentorship of Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, commonly known as Jicho Pevu, asserting that the former Deputy President lacks the moral authority to provide guidance. "I wonder how Wamunyoro, who failed to advise himself, can now claim to mentor Jicho Pevu, also known as Jicho Pesa," Sudi remarked. The outspoken legislator further accused Ali — who was once seen as a strong supporter of Ruto — of trying to extort the government for “free money.” "The issue with Jicho Pesa is that he believed when we established this government, he would find a way to collect free money, not realizing that the government functions through established procedures," Sudi continued. "Rather than putting in hard work and engaging in business, he was anticipating handouts. Even if another government is formed, there will be no avenue for free money distribution." 'Mentor' Sudi's comments followed shortly after Gachagua, who currently heads the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), posted photos and a message on social media expressing his happiness at reuniting with Ali, whom he referred to as a "young, talented leader" under his mentorship.
