Huduma Centre Team Assists Deaf Students and the Elderly

In celebration of Customer Service Week, the staff at Huduma Centre Kerugoya have been actively involved in various community service initiatives.

Under the leadership of Centre Manager Stella Mukami, the team visited the Kerugoya School for the Deaf, where they provided a range of donated items and food supplies. This institution is one of the specialized learning facilities in the County, accommodating over 150 students across different educational levels. Customer Service Week, recognized globally, aims to highlight the significance of customer service and the employees who consistently serve and assist customers. Furthermore, the team extended their outreach to elderly residents in nearby villages, presenting them with various gifts. During their interactions, the officers conducted awareness sessions regarding essential government services and programs aimed at supporting senior citizens, particularly focusing on enrollment in the new health insurance, registration for cash transfers, and pension processing. Huduma Centres have facilitated access for Kenyans to over 22,000 government services, now available through the e-Citizen platform, which is a government initiative to digitize public service delivery. These outreach efforts exemplify Huduma Centre Kerugoya’s steadfast dedication to promoting inclusivity, community involvement, and exceptional customer service beyond the traditional service counters.
