Interviews to select 100,000 young individuals for KSh50,000 grants will commence on October 13, as announced by President Ruto

These interviews will take place in all sub-counties starting Monday, with each selected entrepreneur receiving a KSh50,000 business grant.

This KSh5 billion initiative, known as the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) project, is a collaborative effort between the government and the World Bank. The program is designed to empower 70 youths in each of Kenya's 1,450 wards to initiate and grow their businesses. "Beginning tomorrow, we will start the process of identifying 100,000 young individuals in every sub-county across Kenya, as we aim to leverage their energy, talent, and skills to transform our nation," stated President Ruto. He delivered these comments on Sunday during the inauguration ceremony of the Nairobi Archdiocese of the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Kenya, which took place at the Kasarani Gymnasium in Nairobi.
