Kalonzo Begins A 10-Day Tour Of The UK To Promote His 2027 Presidential Campaign


Wiper Democratic Movement Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka is scheduled to depart the country on Wednesday for a ten-day trip to the United Kingdom.

  Kalonzo, who received endorsement as a presidential candidate on October 10, is anticipated to interact with prominent institutions, policymakers, and members of the Kenyan diaspora through a series of events that underscore his increasing domestic and international support in anticipation of Kenya’s 2027 General Elections. He is also scheduled to address Chatham House – The Royal Institute of International Affairs. “This visit is part of Wiper’s continuous strategy to forge international partnerships, enhance Kenya’s global visibility, and engage Kenyans abroad on vital issues such as governance, economic empowerment, and national renewal,” remarked Senator Abdalla. Kalonzo will also conduct a consultative meeting with the Commonwealth Secretariat. Furthermore, he is expected to give a special lecture at Oxford University, one of the leading academic institutions globally, and take part in a town hall meeting with the Kenyan diaspora under the theme ‘The Kenya We Want.’

  The most recent report from the Auditor General for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, has uncovered mismanagement at Enoomatasiani High School under the administration of Principal Tabitha Mbabu (TSC No. 224359). There are calls for her transfer over mismanagement and not very impressive academic excellence under her leadership. As per the report, the statement of receipts and payments indicates that the school's fund income from parents' contributions amounts to Kshs. 89,627,445, as detailed in Note 4 of the financial statements. An examination of the school's fee structure during the review period revealed that the school fees were raised beyond the limits set by the Ministry of Education (MOE), resulting in an unauthorized increase in annual fees of Kshs. 15,000 for form one students and Kshs. 18,000 for students in other classes.
