Kenyans cautioned regarding the fraudulent herbalist, Onala Herbal Centre.

The incidence of fraudulent herbalists is increasing in Kenya. In Migori County, particularly in Oyugis town, a con artist named Onala Okoth has been deceiving unsuspecting Kenyans in the southern Nyanza region.

Okoth, who operates from Oyugis and its surrounding areas, claims to possess herbal remedies that treat infertility, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, ulcers, male potency, and gout.

However, investigations reveal that Okoth is a charlatan who extracts large sums of money without providing any healing.

A couple struggling with infertility has spent a significant amount of money in the hope that Okoth's herbs would assist them in conceiving, but to no avail.

For over two years, they have been consuming these herbs with no results. They now assert that they have been defrauded.

Other patients suffering from ulcers, arthritis, diabetes, and hypertension have also been cheated out of hundreds of thousands of shillings.

This individual appears to lack any fundamental understanding of the ailments he claims to treat.

Local residents are now urging the authorities to apprehend him so that he can demonstrate and validate his medical credentials.

One is left to ponder where he acquired the knowledge or academic qualifications that enable him to assert he can treat all the aforementioned conditions.

He is also known to entice young men with herbal remedies, claiming that they enhance sexual performance.

Unless the appropriate authorities act swiftly to detain this individual, many more will continue to suffer, as Okoth has mastered the art of deceiving unsuspecting Kenyans.
