Khalwale criticizes Mudavadi for failing to support Malulu Injendi’s son in the Malava MP race
Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has taken issue with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi for not supporting Ryan Injendi, the son of the late Malulu Injendi, in his bid for the Malava parliamentary seat. During a bullfighting event in Mihati, Malava Constituency, where he collaborated with DAP–K party leader Eugene Wamalwa to promote KNUN Chair Seth Panyako’s candidacy on Saturday, October 4, 2025, Khalwale expressed his disapproval of Mudavadi for not assisting Ryan Injendi as he aimed to succeed his father.
Khalwale reminded Mudavadi of his responsibility to ensure that Ryan Injendi received the party nomination and emerged victorious in the Malava by-election.
He reflected on the support he received from leaders such as Fred Gumo, Philip Mwangale, and former Vice President Wamalwa Kijana when his own father, Moses Mudavadi, passed away, which enabled him to take over his father’s position in Sabatia Constituency at the age of 26. He questioned why Mudavadi did not extend the same support to Ryan Injendi.
