The Deputy President made these remarks on Friday during the Kangema Constituency Economic Empowerment Engagement at General Kago Stadium in Kangema town, Murang’a County. "This is a democratic nation, and you can only select your leaders through your vote. I urge you to motivate our youth to register so they can elect the leaders they wish to see. Without your vote, you will not be able to participate in making that choice," the Deputy President remarked. Regarding development, Kindiki cautioned contractors involved in development projects against negligence and carelessness, stating that the government will not tolerate any attempts to hinder their completion within the agreed timelines. Kindiki noted that the administration is focused on the timely completion of projects after investing billions of shillings to ensure quicker completion for the benefit of the populace. "We want all projects to be completed promptly and on schedule. Contractors who are delaying work despite having been paid will be required to justify why they are impeding government-funded projects," Kindiki asserted. The Deputy President insisted that all Mau Mau roads in the Mt. Kenya region must be completed on schedule, indicating that the government has allocated funds to the contractors, including those responsible for the sections in Kangema constituency. "It is unacceptable to delay public projects. We have allocated funds for the roads, yet we have received reports of contractors stalling. We will not tolerate such behavior.
