President Ruto Presides Over State Reception for Raila Odinga’s Remains at JKIA
On Thursday morning, President William Ruto led the State reception for the remains of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). The Kenya Airways flight transporting Odinga’s remains from India altered its call sign from KQ203 to RAO001 upon entering Kenyan airspace at approximately 8:50 AM, serving as a symbolic tribute to the late opposition leader. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, senior government officials, and members of the Odinga family accompanied the Head of State to receive the remains, marking the commencement of national mourning ceremonies.
