Safaricom CEO Commends Raila as a Selfless Leader and Democracy Advocate


  Safaricom's Chief Executive Officer, Peter Ndegwa, has honored the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, characterizing him as a selfless leader who made significant sacrifices in the pursuit of democracy and human rights in Kenya.

  During a graduation ceremony at the Meru University of Science and Technology, Ndegwa remarked that Raila’s legacy will persist as a beacon of justice, freedom, and equality. "Raila Odinga stood resolutely in the defense of human rights and the advancement of democracy. His life serves as a reminder that true leadership is rooted in service and sacrifice," Ndegwa stated. He urged the graduating students to embody Raila’s principles of integrity, courage, and commitment to the common good as they begin their professional paths. Meru University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Romanus Odhiambo, supported Ndegwa’s views, encouraging the graduates to maintain honesty and accountability in their careers, emphasizing that integrity is the foundation of genuine leadership.
