The reason businessman Patrick Mvungu of Paddy Kenya is currently in hiding

Nairobi businessman Patrick Mvungu is evading capture due to his fear of arrest after failing to comply with a court order mandating the repayment of bank loans amounting to hundreds of millions.

Mvungu, who once enjoyed millionaire status and operated a successful business while leading a luxurious lifestyle, is now reduced to poverty, struggling to make ends meet.

His previous business partners have abandoned him, as has his immediate family. Reports indicate that his wife has vanished with some of his assets and has since filed for divorce.

Sources reveal that Mvungu has been evading auctioneers who persistently knock on his doors, demanding to seize some of his possessions. He is currently residing in hotels, as his home is also at risk of being auctioned off.

Patrick Mvungu, also referred to as Patrick Nthiga Mvungu and "Paddy," is a Kenyan businessman and company director facing considerable legal and financial difficulties, primarily due to substantial debts owed by his companies, Paddy Kenya Limited, to institutions such as Equity Bank and ARM Cement.

His legal troubles encompass lawsuits related to significant loan defaults, a commercial dispute with his landlord, and ongoing efforts to recover a large loan that was extended to his company. Paddy Kenya Limited:

This company is at the heart of the legal conflicts, with Mvungu serving as its director. Financial Debt: Mvungu's companies owe considerable amounts to financial institutions, including an outstanding loan of approximately Sh302 million from Equity Bank.

Legal Proceedings: Loan Disputes: Equity Bank has initiated actions to auction the company's vehicles in order to recover the debt, with legal proceedings still in progress.

Landlord Dispute: Mvungu is embroiled in a legal case as a tenant who has failed to meet rent obligations, resulting in a growing rent arrears situation. Indebtedness: Mvungu has admitted to significant debts owed to ARM Cement, further underscoring his financial obligations. Company Director:

His position as director of these companies directly ties him to the associated legal and financial responsibilities.
