Many attendees carried national flags, portraits of the deceased leader, and donned T-shirts emblazoned with his image and campaign slogans from various political eras. Police and military personnel ensured stringent security both within and surrounding the stadium to prevent any disorder similar to that experienced during the body viewing at the Moi International Stadium in Kasarani. High-ranking government officials, members of Parliament, foreign dignitaries, and representatives from across Africa are anticipated to be present at the state funeral service. Kindiki confirmed that the government had received assurances of attendance from a considerable number of foreign delegations and heads of state from East Africa, Africa, and other regions, while many others had sent formal messages of condolence. Following the State Funeral Service, the public viewing of Raila Odinga’s remains will resume around 12:00 noon, extending as long as necessary to accommodate the maximum number of mourners wishing to pay their final respects.
