Total rejection of Francis Nzau as the new principal of Masii Boys

 


Tension is escalating at Masii Boys High School, just two months after Francis Nzau was appointed as the new principal. 
 According to reliable sources, Nzau has not been warmly received by parents, students, and stakeholders, leading to calls for the Teachers Service Commission to reverse the transfer. 
 It is reported that within a short span of two months in his role, he has implemented unreasonable changes at the school without prior consultations. He is perceived as a solitary figure who does not seek input before making critical decisions. 
Teachers describe his leadership style as one characterized by high-handedness, intimidation, and coercion. Teachers expressing differing opinions are already facing threats of being transferred to remote schools, while those who challenge his policies are being told to either conform or leave. 
 Stakeholders now assert that due to his leadership and management approach, he will not be able to guide the school towards academic excellence and infrastructural growth. 
 Students are also experiencing discontent with their new principal and his deputies, whom he has excluded from important policy-making decisions. 
 Parents have stated that if the transfer is not rescinded immediately and a new principal is not appointed to take over in January, they may be compelled to prevent him from accessing the school until the TSC yields to their demands, revokes his transfer, and appoints a new principal who is a local candidate. 
 At his previous school, there was widespread celebration among students, parents, and stakeholders upon hearing the news of his transfer, with many expressing that it was a welcome relief.

The Auditor General has revealed financial mismanagement at St. Michael Kabaa, prompting parents to urge the EACC to investigate, apprehend, and prosecute Paul Mwangele

The embezzlement of public funds occurred during Mwangele's leadership, during which parents accused him of acting independently, while those expressing differing views were coerced, threatened, and intimidated into accepting illegal practices. The financial mismanagement at ENOOMATASIANI GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL has been brought to light.

  The most recent report from the Auditor General for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, has uncovered mismanagement at Enoomatasiani High School under the administration of Principal Tabitha Mbabu (TSC No. 224359). There are calls for her transfer over mismanagement and not very impressive academic excellence under her leadership. As per the report, the statement of receipts and payments indicates that the school's fund income from parents' contributions amounts to Kshs. 89,627,445, as detailed in Note 4 of the financial statements. An examination of the school's fee structure during the review period revealed that the school fees were raised beyond the limits set by the Ministry of Education (MOE), resulting in an unauthorized increase in annual fees of Kshs. 15,000 for form one students and Kshs. 18,000 for students in other classes.
